“My ideas usually come not at my desk writing, but in the midst of living”
I absolutely love designing products for people to use over and over in their daily lives. Researching a subject and adding those details within each illustration makes any project fun for me, and more entertaining for the viewers of my work. The recipe organizer binders I created are personally meaningful because I keep my mother's and grandmother's original recipe cards in one binder, recipes from my friends in another. While creating the divider tabs, I decided to design uniquely-shaped "antique" platters for the meat, seafood, veggies and other food categories. (Can you tell that I enjoy food and wine??)
